BMW M4 Build Part 1

October 31st, 2026

So having a plan of doing as many road trips as possible lead to the decision of choosing a car that can do it all without being too expensive to throw on a track.  We have a 2024 Defender 90 that does the winter adventures and sticking a roof tent on, so what do we use for summer and track work?

After viewing and driving various cars ranging from a Porsche 911 to Nissan GTR, we settled on an F82 BMW M4. Everything else was too focused and good in their respective category whereas the M4 seemed like a good platform to build on.

We were able to find a completely stock Ultimate Package M4 Competition in, what we think is the best colour, San Mario Blue. The ultimate package basically came with all of the best options minus the carbon ceramic brakes.

The plan with the car is to make it the best hybrid between a fast road car and a capable track car.  If you know anything about cars, you know that BMW have one of the best names on the road and track!

Although most of the work will be under the skin, on day one, we ended up putting a Carbon CS styling kit on it to give it a little more road presence and aggression courtesy of out friends at Carbon Factory. We also fitted it with a CS Style bonnet from Audi ID!
